WALTER CONTROL TOWER GmbH is responsible for ensuring adequate protection of your personal data and for complying with all legal provisions regarding the protection, lawful handling, confidentiality, and security of personal data.
 

The following information is general in nature and comprehensively covers all data processing operations within WALTER CONTROL TOWER GmbH. This means that the following explanations may only apply to you in part.

Purpose of Data Processing

We process personal data primarily for the following purposes:

  • From publicly accessible sources: e.g., commercial register, land register, official insolvency database, register of associations, trade register

Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, business relationships with us are not possible if the required personal data is not provided to us. 

Categories of Data Processed 

  • Name data, e.g., first name, last name, username, etc. 

  • Personal details, e.g., age, gender, date of birth, nationality, role in the company, copies of ID documents, etc. 

  • Contact data, e.g., address, phone number, email address, etc. 

  • Identification data, e.g., ID card number, passport number, customer number, etc. 

  • Financial/banking data, e.g., account number, creditworthiness information, etc. 

  • Official data, e.g., reference/file numbers, tax number, wage garnishments, tenant certificate (Mieterpass - Germany) 

  • IT usage data, e.g., connection data, log information, access data, IP address, referrer, usernames for externally accessible systems, etc. 

  • Website usage data: date and time of the request, IP address, name and version of the web browser, certain cookies, etc.

  • Information on individual behavior, e.g., notes on response behavior and payment reminders, correspondence and explanatory notes regarding ongoing inquiries/investigations, etc. 

Legal Basis for Processing 

  • Performance of a contract and execution of pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), e.g., when we process and answer your inquiries, etc. 

  • Our overriding legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), e.g., when sending tailored information and offers (provided no consent is required), processing data necessary for the functionality of our websites, etc. 

  • Legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), e.g., tax-related retention obligations, etc. 

  • Where none of the aforementioned legal bases apply, our data processing is based on your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You naturally have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal (i.e., the withdrawal does not operate retroactively). 

Transfer of Your Personal Data
For the aforementioned reasons, we may transfer your personal data to the following recipients:

  • Companies that belong to our corporate group, as well as their employees 

  • Third parties engaged by us, e.g., IT service providers, printing service providers, data centers, hosting, software, and service providers (e.g., for sending newsletters), claims handling and settlement service providers (insurers and insurance partners), property management companies, attorneys, tax advisors, notaries, auditors, etc. 

  • Persons/entities with whom we maintain a business relationship, e.g., transport partners, suppliers, commercial partners, etc. 

  • Public authorities, e.g., customs offices, Federal Ministry of the Interior, embassies, district authorities, etc. 
     

In some cases, data is also transferred to recipients outside Austria and, in exceptional cases, to unsafe third countries. In such cases, however, we ensure that appropriate data protection safeguards are in place, e.g., through binding corporate rules or EU standard contractual clauses. 

Storage Duration
Your personal data will only be stored by us for as long as reasonably necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes. We also store your personal data for as long as statutory retention obligations exist or limitation periods for potential legal claims have not yet expired.
Your Rights Regarding Personal Data

  1. Verify whether and what personal data we have stored about you and receive copies of such data 

  2. Request the correction, amendment, or deletion of your personal data that is incorrect or processed in violation of legal requirements 

  3. Request us to restrict the processing of your personal data 

  4. Under certain circumstances, object to the processing of your personal data or withdraw previously granted consent 

  5. Request data portability 

  6. Obtain information regarding the identity of third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred 

  7. Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
